Pioneers Pound Huskies 34-7

September 17th, 2007
West Jefferson, NC-

I didn't show up for this game until halftime. Neither did the Huskies. Ashe County gave up thirty-one points to the Pioneers in the first two quarters and had hardly seen Watauga's side of the field until they finally got on the board at the end of the third quarter on a thirty-five yard touchdown pass and catch. That was probably the longest play from scrimmage for the Huskies and definately the only sign of any offense. At one point in the fourth quarter, Ashe faced a third and forty-three, unbelievable.

Only giving up three points in the second half was a bit of a positive sign, but Watauga had pretty much called off the dogs by then.

Ashe will try to right the ship when they travel to Pfafftown Friday evening to take on Ronald Reagan High.
